How We'll Work Together

Discovery

  • I’ll set up a one hour meeting where we’ll talk through what you need.
  • I’ll recommend the simplest solution that reliably meets your goals, and we’ll clarify scope and deliverables.
  • I’ll give you an overview of the technical approach so you can understand what I’m building and why.
  • Once the design is reviewed to a reasonable level of satisfaction, we move on to project work.

Pricing

I offer two pricing options:


Milestone Pricing

At $2000 or $4000 for each milestone.

Hourly Pricing

At $60/hour.

If hosting a web app or database is part of the project, we’ll also include hosting costs.


About Milestone Pricing

I break the project into a series of milestones, each with a clear deliverable and fixed price.

Milestone 1

Scrape + store

Scrape complex financial data from a municipal website and transform it into the expected format.

Milestone 2

API access

Set up an API for retrieving data from the database.

Milestone 3

$2,000

Web app UI

Build a web app that displays the data (e.g., map-based UI).

About Hosting Costs

If your project needs a hosted website, web app, or database, I can set it up either under your organization or through my LLC.

If hosted through my LLC, I apply a 15% management fee on top of your hosting costs.

Example

A basic managed database might start around $15/month, and a small web app around $5/month.

That’s $20/month subtotal; with 15% it becomes $23/month.

Delivery

Once scope and milestones are defined, I start development and provide regular updates. My default cadence is weekly, but I can update more or less frequently based on your preference.

Cadence

Default: 1 update/week

Milestone timeline

If requirements are clear and access is available, expect 1–2 weeks per milestone.

Demos

At the end of each milestone, we meet to demo results and decide next steps.
